Need a plugin that sets specific fields when creating a post

I want to create a post/page and want to have specific fields be set
(This is to be separate from the normal create a post.page links)

For example, in my admin, I will have a link called ‘Create Special Post’

When this is clicked, I get taken to the normal create post page, but the category for this post would be set to ‘Special’
(Assuming that I have already created this category)

I was scratching my head thinking how I could best do this

Then thought – the whole idea is simple, some one must have already created such a plugin?

Any help would be great
