Need advice on layout. Use Frontpage or only WordPress.

Hi. I’ve just one-clicked installed WordPress onto my server (very sweet). Now I have a dilemma. I currently use Frontpage for my other sites, so I have been reading different posts about integration and such.

This next site (with WordPress) has not even been started yet. I’ve read where some suggest to do the entire site with WordPress. Have I read this correctly? I don’t want the site to look like a typical blog site. Or maybe what I am trying to say is that I want some control over what goes where. I need to have “buy links” and other things typical to regular sites.

If I could manage to do it all in WordPress, that would be very nice.

Probably backed myself into a corner here. Am I on the right track at least with my questions?

NOTE: It should be known (if not obvious) that this is my first venture into blogging, podcasting and anything else associated.

I would appreciate any guidance.
