Need Community Theme Suggestion

I am starting a Community Corps with community members signing up to get notified of and sign up for community projects and events. There are Organization members that post their projects and events requesting help, as well as time slot activities.
Community members can sign up for event and activity time slots.
Anyone can see who is signed up for an event.
Organizations can submit an email blast to notify members of the need.
I’m trying to do as little work as possible so a good combination of theme and plugins would be much appreciated.

I couldn’t find a specific theme for you, so my recommendation would be to keep browsing the repository for free options. Most themes will work just fine with the Event Calendar plugin:
