Need Directory Plugin

  • I am desperately in need of a new wordpress directory plugin similar to wpdirectory pro, I paid for it $30 and cannot get it to work on 2.9.1, other users have problems with it and the support is not the best. I am hoping someone has or will come out with a better one soon. if anyone has any suggestions or recommendations they would be greatly appreciated!

    I found this one but I think it is the free version of the premium version you already have.
    The first thought I had when I saw your post is that, for that kind of money, you should be entitled to custom support and to version that is compatible with the latest WP release, no matter how recent…
    Just out of curiosity, and to see if there might be a free equivalent out there, what does that plugin actually do and what do you specifically need it for?

    Where you were able to figure this one out?
    If you were, could you mark the thread as resolved? It helps a lot to filter out which threads were solved and which were not.

    I too am looking for a good directory plugin.

    Business Directory won’t work for me as I need the ability to charge for “featured listings”. WPDirectory looks terrible and doesn’t appear to support photos and multiple different fields.

    Any other ideas?

    I was using this one.. https://www.seanbluestone.com/wp-link-directory but don’t bother if you have PHP > 5.3.0 installed. I ended up rewriting a bunch of the plugin code to make it compatible for PHP 5.3.0.. but now the permalinks part won’t work. I’m looking for a better one too. I’ve heard that many people use Directory Press.. but it is $79
