Need Featured Image option in Chunk Theme

  • Having a very hard time sorting this out as the plugin I want to use for my site requires featured post images to work: List category posts by Fernando Briano.

    Chunk theme doesn’t have the option for adding featured images to posts and I have followed the only tutorial I could find and it royally destroys my wordpress to the point where I need to reinstall a fresh functions file each time.

    Is there a plugin or a simply way to get this option back? Or a way to get it to detect an image and use it automatically?

    I want it to look like a simplified blog post with a small thumbnail on the left side beside each post…. so far all I’ve managed to do is text.
