Need Gallery Plug-in with descriptions and detail images

I am new to using galleries in WP and have specific need which I can’t resolve with the half dozen plug-ins I’ve tried. I have a gallery page of bike images which will have thumbnails with captions. When clicked, the thumb should go to a page with the image, a description, and ideally, a lightbox gallery of detail images. Lightbox doesn’t do it for the main image since there is important info that goes with the image. But the detail images don’t need their own page. And they must be associated with that other image. Is this a nested gallery? Is there a plug-in that allows for this complexity? Thank you!!
