• Help! I was trying to change the theme of the site I’m working on and all of a sudden every time I click to the website I get this: Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_FUNCTION in /home/buzzsawmag/webapps/wordpress_main/wp-content/themes/newsmag/inc/libraries/class-newsmag-lazyload.php on line 18

How can I get the site back so I can edit it?

  • Hi,

You will need to delete your theme via FTP

Login to your server using FTP and find /wp-content/themes/newsmag
delete the whole newsmag folder and WordPress will switch to using WordPress default theme and you will be able to login to WordPress admin.

You can re-install your newsmag theme after you are able to login to WordPress admin.

If your issue persist after re-installing your newsmag theme, you will need to contact your theme support for help. There could be error in code.

You can get your web hosting account support for help, if you do not know how to use FTP application to access your web hosting account.

    Thank you

I tried logging on using ftp and it’s not registering my username or password as accurate. I tried multiple username and password from the website and none of them are working. Is there something I can do to get onto the server?

    Thanks.

The whole site is down and won’t even show the error page I got a few days ago. Is there anything I can do to fix this?

    Thanks
