• Hello!

I’m trying to adjust the crop size in my site from 340×192 to 606×192 in my posts. I already adjusted the style.css file for these dimensions but it only stretches the image, doesn’t crop new ones uploaded.

I was able to achieve this with a site I have done previously with wordpress by editing a .php file but I’ve been at it for days and cannot find the file I’ve edited before.

All i did was change the width x height in one of the .php files for my theme and it adjusts every time I upload a new image and click “Use Featured Image.”

Again, this is only the image in my Posts. Not the front page thumbnails. Just the post image. Or if i could even just remove it all together and put my own in each post via “Insert Image” tool with wordpress dashboard.

    Thanks! Please Help!

Click “The Art of FLIGHT ” and you’ll see what I mean.

EDIT : In fact, If someone could tell me how to remove the auto-croped image out of the Post in it’s entirety, that would be better. As long as I can still insert my own images into the post.

    Thanks!

  • I often make my own thumbnails and then give them a link to the full size image. Will that work for you? You can also change the settings for thumbnails in the dashboard.

Yes, but WordPress automatically crops the “Featured Image” I upload to fit all the different sizes on the site, as you can see. I’ve come to the conclusion that I just want the one that goes into the Post removed.

This way, I can just insert my own image inside the post. And others that I want as well.

That is exactly what I did. I did not use the wp import image but in the html editor put my thumbnail information and a link to the full size image.

Alright, but I still want the ability to upload the image that way it goes to the rotator if i need it to and the other parts of the site.

    A way to do that?

Simply just remove the “Posts” croped image, but leave the rest throughout the site?

I uploaded the thumbnail sized the way I wanted, using the wp upload image feature and then linked that to the full size image. That way I could use the thumbnail multiple times.
