Need help aligning divs

Argh. I am trying to make my 3-column theme a 2-column theme and am having trouble aligning things. Can anyone offer advice for shifting the “recent articles” to the left to align with the featured photos on top, and pulling up the sidebar? I can’t figure out if the problem is in my template or my stylesheet. For some reason, I am unable to download Firebug on my new Mac so I can’t verify classes and ids.
The video in the sidebar is not sized right, please ignore that, because my server is not responding right now. Thanks!!
