NEED HELP DOWNLOADING file from CORRUPTED wp-content

    Oh my goodness, I just spent half an hour writing my issue and it did not go through, so here is the simplified version. I have a folder in wp-content that is very important. The site it is on is messed up beyond repair, and the file has some code that I paid for. The provider can now only delete everyhing as the password will not reset, and I will lose EVERYTHING. I have tried downloading the file by right clicking on it, but it only downloaded the text that gave the list of directories I can go to. How can I download this??????????? I dont have any block on my files, but I cannot get past wp-content, it shows the file, but it wont let me download it. I can no longer get in at all, but I do not want to lose this. Is there a way to download the files before it is deleted forever?

    Never mind, they found it. Someone also renamed the file names and the folders that I needed. Weird stuff. The thing I was trying to save in some way was my php files. I could see some of them when I went to my site and browsed my foldrs, but I could not download them. That was my main concern – donwloading my php files, I dont know if its possible, but I thought I would give it a shot.

    That’s not possible, since it’s a file that each browser has to execute. But like Figaro says, you can get the files using FTP.
    (Imagine if you could just download the wp-config file!)

    I just thought I could because it showed it in the file directory, so I thought it was like downloading a html file. Cool, thank you for letting me know the difference
