Need help finding a bare-bones lightbox plug-in (tried them all)

Can someone please recommend a simple basic no-nonsense lightbox? I have tried every one I can find and they all either (A) have gimmicky design and dumb functions that I don’t want, or (B) are good except for a crippling bug that no one in the forums could help me with.

My needs are extremely simple, namely:

– display the caption in the thumbnail and in the lightbox photo itself

– show thumbnails as actual exact miniature replicas of the photos in their actual exact proportions and not cropped into squares or other shapes

These are the only plug-ins that meet these requirements, and their respective bugs:

– Easy FancyBox – does not display captions

– Responsive Lightbox by D-Factory – lightboxes cycle through images collected at random from completely unrelated posts

– Simple Lightbox – the lightbox cycles through all the images in the post as though they were in a gallery together. In other words when you click on any ‘free-standing’ (non-gallery) image in a post, a lightbox pops up and when you click on that, instead of going away it advances to the next non-gallery image.
