Need help for image rotating

Hi there,
On a blog I am working on, in the galleries at the bottom, what is the best way to put them? I can use a series of combinations such as album-compact.php and album-extend.php, gallery-carousal.php, gallery-caption.php and gallery.php. Which one is best?

I am having a hard time with them. I have tried them all, but all are bad. Right now, It is so that when you load a blog post, all of the pictures load fine. But, when you click on one, it refreshes the page and takes us to a screen where we can flip through the pictures by pressing next or back. The problem is, it reloads the page everytime and sends it to the top of the page, so everytime the user clicks on next they have to scroll back down to the bottom.
