Need help incorporating blog into html site

  • Hi Everyone,

    I’m hoping someone can help – I need to incorporate some wordpress blog functionality into my html site.

    I’ve actually done this sort of thing before, but it was through lots of trial and error and this time around, I just can’t seem to make it work.

    Basically I’ve installed a root installation of wordpress, uploaded my html pages into the web root and changed their extensions to .php. So far so good.

    Last time, I was able to figure out (just using a default template) which snippets of code I needed to insert into my pages to incorporate blog posts and a side bar.

    I’ve uploaded examples of the two pages I’m trying to create here:

    I’ve tried going through various tutorials on doing this sort of thing online, but none of them have steered me in the right direction. Can anyone guide me toward the right snippets of php to insert into my two pages to add blog posts and a side bar?
