Need help pointing domain name to inside page(s)

We have a WordPress site up and running on a Windows server using IIS. The site answers to our primary domain name and everything is working well.

Soon we will be adding a new section to our site that will have a slightly different design template and consist of a “home page” and set up of sub-pages built on that same template. All this will be part of the our current WordPress site.

We would like to register an additional domain name that will reflect the name of this new section, and then point that domain name to that new section’s “home page” and subpages.

I’m wondering if this is possible to do, and if so, would I simply use an IIS rewrite rule in the web.config file to make this happen?

We want to keep our primary domain name pointing to our home page and use the new domain only for the new section and it’s subpages.
