• Hello,

Here is my issue. We have a training site that we are wanting to only give access to our employees that log into our main company.com site. We are wanting to setup and use wordpress for our help.company.com website. But what we want to do is limit anyone that goes directly to the site that are not logged into out main company.com site.

    Usage example:
Employee logs into our main company.com site and then clicks a link on the site to take them to the help.company.com They are able to get to the site and use it.

    Usage example:
Another outside person try’s to access the help.company.com site. They are told they need to log in at our main site to access this site, they are then redirected to the main company.com and made to log in. Once they are in they are re-directed to the help.company.com to view tutorials.

Let me also say we are not wanting them to log into the site if possible we just want them to be able to go and view the site. But only be able to access it from the main company.com website, and not from any other site.

Anyone able to help with this?

    This plugin might help.

I’m not exactly wanting to just password protect the site, im going to have over 500 or more people needed to access this at anytime. I don’t want to have to have a password for all of them or just one single password. That would not work?

Any other suggestions that may not necessarily be a plugin? Maybe Apache or something along those lines?

You can redirect users from specific IP (your company’s) to specific subdomain/folder. Or go with some intranet plugin.

We have employees all over the US, so they are not all necessarily in house. They are also using their own computers for their business’s, so we can’t really keep track of all ip’s or anything like that.

I don’t know how else can I help you with this, specially within WordPress. I hope somebody else will.
