• I’m trying to navigate my way through setting up SportsPress, but the documentation all seems very old (2015) and incomplete. Would love it if you could point me in the direction of the right documentation. This was the latest article that I’m trying to follow with no luck… https://www.themeboy.com/blog/creating-automatic-custom-scoring-system-sport/

I’m trying to setup a warcraft III team league. It works as follows.

There are 6 teams, each team has about 10 players.

The league runs over a few. Each week, each team will play against one other team. Games are always between 2 players (1v1, best of 3 format)

We currently run the league in a spreadsheet, you can see the format for each weeks games here (check the tabs at the bottom): https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1h864L0Knq-l6rLgLNsRJ0tAeioNSYgu2OawsLggO3nc/edit#gid=334640863

The final tab keeps track of each teams standings. Hopefully this gives you a better idea of what we’re trying to setup.

I’ve tried the following setup in sportspress:
    – Created a custom sport
    – Set the format to player vs. player
    – Created 2 teams with 4 players each
    – Created a league
    – Created a parent season (season 7) with sub seasons for each week (e.g. week 1, 2, 3)

I’ve also tried to configure a few things:
    – Event outcomes: win, draw, loss
    – Player performance, “score” using numbers
    – Event result (not quite sure what to do here..

Now I try to create an event:
    – I’m assuming I need to setup an event for each 1v1 match within the weekly sub-season
    – I select the league name, the season, and which week (sub season)
    – I select competitive
    – I select player vs. player
    – I select one player from each team

However… This is where things start to break. My events always have me enter team results instead of player results. And the league tables don’t seem to sync up or display player results.

Everything seems to be team orientated. And whilst I will need an overview of team standings – what’s equally important is being able to show an overview of player vs player results each week (like in the spreadsheet i shared above)

Not quite sure where I’m going wrong and if what I want to do is even possible.

Considering buying the pro version, but only if support is guarenteed to help me set up (this seemingly simple league). Do you think what I’m trying to achieve is feasible with sportspress?

    any help appreciated!

For example. The end goal of what I explained above is being able to display a few results tables:

Current standings for each team in the league over all weeks:
    1st. Team A. 89 points
    2nd. Team B. 72 points
    3rd. Team B. 69 points

Weekly result tablea for team player matchups:

    Week 1 – Team A vs. Team B

    Player A1 – 2:1 – Player B1
    Player A2 – 0:2 – Player B2
    Player A3 – 0:0 – Player B3 (if score hasn’t been entered yet?)
    Player A4 – 2:0 – Player B4

    Week 1 – Team C vs. Team D

    Player C1 – 2:1 – Player D1
    Player C2 – 0:2 – Player D2
    Player C3 – 0:0 – Player D3
    Player C4 – 2:0 – Player D4

Weekly result table for team points:

    Week 1
    Team A – 21:17 – Team B
    Team C – 25:13 – Team D

Is something like this even possible?
