Need help Translating WooCommerce Items

  • Need help changing the translation for some items on the checkout.

    When I try to go into WooCommerce section to translate it from Loco Translate, I get this message when I attempt to save translations:

    Write protected: Saving this file requires permission. Click “Connect” to authenticate with the server.

    Then when I click ‘connect’ I get this message:
    Remote connections are prevented by your WordPress configuration. Direct access only.

    WordPress support said to contact Loco Translate.

    Loco Translate honours the security settings put in place by whoever commissioned your WordPress.

    In this case somebody has defined FS_METHOD as “direct”. If this was you, then remove it. Otherwise, establish who set this and ask them to remove it.

    The last time I checked, setting FS_METHOD to “direct” disables remote connections in WordPress core too. If you know this has changed I’ll remove the enforcement on my side.
