I am running Ascend on my website with the Polylang plugin to translate my page from NL and EN. My main page is NL and the header logo I have uploaded there is also in Dutch. Now I want an English logo on my EN page, but I cannot find a way to do it.

The logo does not appear in string translations. I have uploaded the logo and I can give it an English tag in the Image Library, but this does nothing. I have tried every kind of css and xml code that I could find on the internet, but nothing works. I am not a programmer and I just about understand a little bit of CSS and HTML, but not enough to figure this one out.

I have to mention that I have a sticky header, so perhaps that is the problem?
I also have the same issue with my sliders. How do I translate them?
I hope some one who has had the exact same problem, can help.

Also, is this only an issue because I have the free version at the moment? I am thinking of upgrading to premium, especially if I knew this would instantly solves these issues.

  • I’m now seeing the correct logo display on your english site. Be sure that you clear your cache whenever making changes to your site.

Take a look and let me know if you’re seeing it now.

This is so crazy. I have cleared all my history, cache, cookies etc for my browser ( I am using Firefox), but still nothing. I have tried the Edge browser, nothing. How can this be? I am glad you are at least seeing the correct logo, so I know it is working. On the mobile website I put the text logo, but when I change that to the picture logo, I still get the dutch logo. I cannot comprehend it. Is there another cache I am forgetting? I will try on another computer later to see if it is my computer or the ISP or something.
Anyway, great news to know the code is working! Thank you all so much.

That’s odd! I still see the correct logo. It’s possible that your device is caching it. Let me know if you see it when you try a different device.

    Hi Kevin,
I don’t know what to do anymore. I have tried several computers, in several different places with different internet connections and browsers and NONE of the devices get the English logo. We are all in Germany, but I don’t think that should matter.

    Hey,
This is odd, I assume you’ve tried logged in and logged out. I tested on 5 different devices here and when I’m on an English page the English logo shows and when I’m no a dutch page the Dutch logo shows.

Well, I can’t recreate so I can only off another route to change your logo based on language. You can use a child theme, override the templates/header.php file and there use code outlined here to check the requested language and change it based on that page your on.

Dear Ben @britner or Kevin @jx-3p,

Could you please help me out with the same problem only using a different theme (https://themeforest.net/item/craft-beer-brewery-or-pub-wordpress-theme/20110676)??

    The website is: https://greenpee.nl/

I would really appreciate your help greatly with this Polylang of CSS hack customization.

    Regards,

    Marco

    Hello marcorinia,

Unfortunately I’m not sure how it would work with that theme. This is the Ascend forum and I do not have any experience with that theme.

I suggest you open a support ticket with whoever you purchases that theme from. They will be able to help you best.

Also, in the future, be sure to open a new support ticket on the forums if you have a question. It’s best not to post in old topics. Thanks!

    Good luck,
    Kevin
