• Hi, I am having a few issues, within my posts on my website, some of the links are not working. How do I fix that? Also I want to remove www.ads-software.com and add copyright information, any suggestions how to do it with JAWS? Someone suggested me to use 2013 theme and that is what I have.

  • Sounds like a permalinks issue. in your wp-admin go to
Settings >> Permalinks and re-save the settings.
Let us know if that fixes it. If you still have problems with links not working correctly there might be something bigger going on.

To remove the copyright you will need to create a child theme and edit the footer.php file of your theme.

    Hi,

I agree with Davood, and the screen reader you’re using won’t have any bearing on this, at least as far as adding the copyright information to the site’s footer is concerned.

With regard to your links not working, can you be a little more specific? Are you getting a 404 error, or is there something else that’s going on?

Hello, bookworm83. Could you please provide us w/a site url? This often assists greatly in helping diagnose problems such as those w/permalinks.

To remove footer & copyright information, you’ll either have to find a theme that has that facility built in (few free themes do), or, as was pointed out in a previous post, create a child theme & edit the footer.php file.

The site sup pages cant be opened
    Url tnmyhsh.net

I see that the links in your nav menu seem to lead to a whitepage and the urls have ?= in them rather than the permalinks. Seeing this leads me to believe that there is a plugin conflict somewhere. You will need to check the error logs on your server to see where the error is coming from.

If you would like us to review the error long for you and guide you further please look for a file named error-log.txt or something similar and post the contents here using pastebin.com.

@hussainmohammedalzahrani, Please discuss this in your own thread: https://www.ads-software.com/support/forum/how-to-and-troubleshooting#postform

@binarywc, Thanks for your help and I know you’re only trying to do the right thing, but people who jump in and ask for support will ultimately derail the thread. It’s best to ask them to create their own thread.

@anevins my apologies. I completely failed to realize that @hussainmohammedalzahrani was not the original poster. I will be more careful to track that in the future!

All, just to clarify–this particular forum is for use either by those w/disabilities who are having trouble using WordPress because of that disability &/or their adaptive technologies, or for developers who wish to learn more about making their programs accessible. The first poster in this tread asked about Jaws, which is a screenreader for blind individuals, & thus the topic belonged here. Trouble w/permalinks, though, is a different thing altogether & likely best belongs in the support forum, as it really has nothing to do w/accessibility.
