• Extended inline formatting options like Text-Color, Background-Color, Font-Family, Justify, Inserting special characters, Inserting unformatted text, Anchor, Nonbreaking space, Subscript, Superscript … for Gutenberg-Standardblocks (Paragraph, List, Quote, Title, …) are really needed by a lot of users!
And if this is not possible in regular Gutenberg toolbar, use the (maybe easier extensible) sidebar for it.
But – please – save the future of our WordPress installation with an extended version of your great plugin!

For now this plugin works only in the “classic” block (and works pretty well there). As far as I know there are no plans to allow access to the editor buttons in all Gutenberg blocks, but that may change.

That’s why I suggest using the sidebar as plan B.

I know, that the sidebar is intended for block options, but

    a) I know from other plugins, that it can be extended with additional custom sections and I think “Inline Formatting” could be such a section …

    b) I have read (according to text colour), that also Gutenberg developers are thinking about using Sidebar options for additional inline formatting.

    c) Until other options are available, the sidebar is better than nothing. And the missing inline formatting in regular blocks (which can not be converted into “classic block” afterwards!) is one of the biggest shortcomings in Gutenberg.

    d) The need is there – your plugin has more than 2 Million users! And we need real inline formatting in our regular work also in Gutenberg standard-blocks!

So, again, please make it possible in Gutenberg!!!

Yeah, it’s possible to add some more “buttons” in the sidebar. Not “ideal” but at least will have something there that will be available in all text blocks… Will see, not decided yet. Perhaps there will be other/better options? ??
