Need mobile push notifications for Restaurant

    Hello,

    I am currently working on a Delivery and To-Go online order landing page for a restaurant. Restaurants are very busy places to work and I need to make sure the orders that come in through WooCommerce are seen by the current Hostess/Employee on duty.

    I thought the WooCommerce app would be the way to go as the employee would just sign into the app when they start their shift but a notification doesn’t pop up on your phone until the app is refreshed which kills the point of a push notification.

    I also thought of SMS alerts but the employee/hostess will change multiple times throughout the day and week and changing the number whenever someone new starts their shift is also an issue.

    There has to be an app or plugin that ensures a proper notification pops up on the employees phone for a new order.
    Any help is VERY MUCH appreciated as this is the last step for the site.

    Bump.

    Maybe there could be a business phone to which the SMS alerts are sent. This phone would be picked up by the duty employee on arrival at work and handed to the next person at the end of shift. Personal phones would stay in the persons locker.

    Hello there,
    I just tested the new WooCommerce iOS app and I get an order notification as soon as the order is placed, without refreshing the app or anything. The phone was just sitting there on the table and the push notification appeared as I completed the order.

    If that is not working as expected, please contact our support team at WooCommerce.com.
