Need plugin player that keep playing while surfing.

  • I’ve tried a few plugins, but when I move to another page on my site the player start again from the beginning.

    If you know a method or plugin that feat an option to play the music continuously, do tell me!

  • I’d say a floating iFrame somewhere on the website should do it…

    Though iFrames aren’t friendly to most ppl, it can still be done.

    You have two options, either put the plyaer in a frame, or play the music off of a streaming medium like shoutcast.

    Thanks Phyrax, bt does Shoutcast supports an user created playlist? It seems to work only with radios, this is not what I’m looking for, I’d like people to listen to my own music. :[

    Well you can use WinAmp to stream music directly from your own computer via an IP address, but you would have to use your own computer, and have it on 24/7.

    I’d have to say you may need to use frames, if shoutcast is out of the question, then again, I’m not using streaming music anymore.

    Here’s another interesting looking one n3rdskwat-mp3player

    That would probably refer to a framing method of some sort.

    Works, maybe… er, no. Well I tried it out and it’s exactly what I was looking for, but it worked only for the first time, and it seems to reset if you go back to the homepage. Performing a few tests, I closed my homepage and tried to open again, but now it won’t even load, keeps searching for something in Google Analytics, which I deactivated and still, not working.

    Also, it broke my featured contente slide-show and the Twitter updates.

    Still, this is a valuable plugin, and I appreciate your help and the author work, will definitely keep an eye on this one, thanks!
