Need ReCaptcha V2 BACK, Tons of Spam using Recaptcha V3

  • PLEASE either fix V3 ReCaptcha immediately OR allow Contact Form 7 to use V2. Updated the plugin yesterday and automatically tons of Spam messages via our contact forms.

    I have already restored a back-up to prevent the Spam. But this needs to be fixed, or is this the end of using Contact Form 7 forever?

    Yes. I agree. But, for now I think this is the only solution until it is fixed.

    This is a very unofficial change on my part, but it seems to work for me.

    Edit line 114 of modules/recaptcha.php (version 5.1)

    It reads:

    return $spam;

    Change it to:

    return true;

    This will change it so that any submission that does not attempt the Recaptcha V3 validation will be rejected.

    LikewiseI am now getting spam from teh Contact form 7 as there is no reCaptcha stopping spambots. All since I upgraded Contact form 7 and now recaptcha3

    Since using recaptcha V3 I get a lot of Spam.. Please update Contact Form 7.. Thx.

    I have had to shutdown all of my contact forms because of the massive amount of spam we are receiving. It does not look like reCaptcha V3 is working at all!

    The only way to get around this at the moment is to revert back to the previous version 7.5.05 and use captcha v2

    I hope this will be fixed soon.

    Also having this issue of tons of spam with Recaptcha V3.0 on all of my sites. Real pain to revert 35 sites back at this point. Please advise on an update as soon as possible.

    we are having the exact same problem. accounts are getting inundated with spam with this upgrade. What is the status of this issue?

    amazing update to recaptcha v3… tons of spam on all sites. integration doesn’t work properly. hope it will be fixed as soon as possible…
