Need Recommendation for Grid Plugin

  • Hi,
    Can anyone recommend a grid plugin? It doesn’t have to be free. We’re doing what I think is very simple (see page link) but the plugin we’re using is no longer supported and it’s starting to break.

    Basically we want to show a box for every post in a certain category. For each box we want to show:
    1. The image
    2. The creation date
    3. The updated date
    4. A custom field (we’re using it for the Fostered In state)
    5. A second field for data. We’re using the excerpt field which is fine or it could be another custom field.
    6. A button to take the user to the post, preferably with a customizable label.

    We’d like the user to go to the post if they click on the button, the title, or the image.

    So far I can’t find any documentation for a grid that will do what we want. Essential Grid might work but I can’t find a way to confirm the functionality before I buy it.

    If none meets your requirements, then you will need to develop a custom plugin.

    Sorry, that’s not very helpful. Yes, I could review each plugin one by one by one, but I posted this hoping that someone who is already using a grid plugin could recommend one for what I need.

    If this is helpful to anyone else, I decided to go with Content Views Pro. It looks like it will do everything we need and has a 30-day return policy.

    Well, I’m ‘returning’ Content Views Pro. There’s very basic functionality that it doesn’t have:

    We need to be able to display the posts by category with a category heading for each grouping.

    If there are no posts within that category, it shouldn’t display the heading.

    There’s no way to do this. According to their user forum, they were going to implement category headings or view titles in 2017 but never did.

    If anybody is using a grid plug-in that has this ability, I would really like to know.
