Hi. I own the Pro version of Advanced Iframe.

I have a very simple php generated slider continually displaying pictures from a database every couple seconds. The slider code is on a different domain/server; however, I have access to it. This slider has to be on the external server because the database is on that server.

I can iframe in the slider and it works fine, but I cannot get Advanced Iframe to make this responsive. I am now presuming it’s because the slider page is not responsively coded where it’s being generated. Is this correct? The slider is simply displaying pictures at a fixed size.

Does the source webpage have to be responsive in order for Advanced Iframe to iframe it in responsively? Is there a certain height/width setting I need to generate photos?

My goal is simply to pick up the slider on a mobile device and have the iframed slider responsively and intelligently resized to fit the mobile screen size. I really thought the Pro version would do this and is why I bought it.

Thank you for your assistance. My frustration is high today. It seemed like a simple task in my head.

    Hi,

I don’t know your other page.

But you have basically 2 options:
    – modify the css dynamically with the pro version and make the image responsive and use auto height than.
    – modify the css dynamically with the pro version and use the automatic zoom than.

It is never a simple task if you do something inside an iframe across different domains because the iframe and the main page do not know anything of each other at the first place.

Hi. Thank you for the response.

Actually, I thought that the plugin handled that cross-domain communication with the external workaround code. What exactly does Advanced IFrame do, if not this, across domains?

As previously noted, I am simply painting a fixed size image from the remote database on a blank webpage in the upper left corner. Then, after a 5 second delay, I slide in a new image, and so on. I need to iframe in that webpage with the image slider. The concept couldn’t be any simpler, though I understand the implementation isn’t so easy.

I just don’t understand what I need to do to make this iframe responsive on my website.

Wait, I just thought, do I need to restrict the remote webpage container size to just the size of the image? I may be trying to resize the entire webpage instead of just the image. The webpage size may be completely different than the image size.

Ok, perhaps that’s the problem. Do you have any thoughts on this?

    Thank you for your assistance.

The plugin does handle the cross-domain communication and additionally all possible css modifications than also.

The 2 solutions I posted before rely on this. So there is nothing else than the image? Do the images have the same size or are dynamic changes of the iframe also needed?

If they are the same than maybe auto zoom with a fixed ratio is an option for you: https://www.tinywebgallery.com/blog/advanced-iframe/advanced-iframe-pro-demo/auto-zoom-iframe-content#e35
