Need some help uploading templates

  • I just downloaded wordpress through my hosting site – hostgator. I am trying to learn (very much a low level beginner – not a techie – at all) I am trying to download a new template and have been successful but i can not find where to upload it in hostgator. Where are the wordpress files located and how can i upload the template to the wp-content folder? HELP! Thank you ??

    oh yeah themes, sorry. Thank you for this guide. I think it would be easier if I had filezilla but since i am in hostgator i do not know where to find the wp-content folder to locate the theme folder. Do i have to use filezilla? or can i just locate this in my cpanel of my hosting site and if so where? Thank you for you help and sorry if this is a simple question that i am complicating.

    Filezilla is just one of the possible FTP Clients (programs). You can google to find others and use any of them. Although, Filezilla is free…
