I’m not usually this dense, but I can’t for the life of me understand how to create my own custom post layout. I went through the documentation, but I’m just missing the basics. I am using woo commerce’s storefront theme and the post layout is pretty horrible. I am using these parameters.

    [display-posts include_title=”true” image_size=”medium” orderby=”menu_order” order=”ASC” include_excerpt=”true” excerpt_length=”20″ excerpt_more=”Continue Reading” excerpt_more_link=”true” include_link=”false” wrapper=”div” wrapper_class=”display-posts-listing image-left” ]

What can I do to make my posts look like the posts on Chris Stapelton’s site? https://www.chrisstapleton.com/news/

Display Posts includes some basic display parameters, but as you’ve found it doesn’t include any styling.

There are two ways to build an attractive post listing:
Template Part in your theme. This is my preferred approach because I can make the Display Posts listing perfectly match the default post listing in the theme.
The Output Filter to customize exactly what is output for each listing item. This is useful if you want to add to or re-arrange the components of the listing (examples).

I understand this isn’t ideal, so the next large release of Display Posts will include some built-in styles to choose from, as well as a Gutenberg block to simplify the process of querying your posts.
