2. That’s a very (and Imean very) big question. The best advice is to create a child theme, and make your edits in there. That way you can just delete any files that go bad, and you won’t loose your edits when the theme updates.
As for hwo to do the changes to the theme, that depends on the theme itself and what it does or doesn’t allow.

]]>You can also install the theme using your cpanel file manager.
Here you required zip file of your theme if you purchased theme then no problem if you using free theme download theme zip file from www.ads-software.com.
First, log in to your cpanel account and click on file manager.
Click On File Manager
Now go to this path ‘public_html/wp-content/themes/’ (Note: Maybe this path different in your case, it depends on where you install your WordPress).
Click on the Upload and Select File from your PC. Once you select file its automatic upload on this directory.

Once the file upload 100 % click on the Go back.
Click On Go Back
Now you can see your zip file here. The theme is in a compressed format but we require it in a simple form.
So select the file and click on the Extract and its ask you where you want to extract it. Don’t change path and click on the Extract File.
Dicompress Theme File
You can see the folder of the theme and now you can delete the zip file from this directory.
Finally, go to Appearance >> Themes and you can see here your theme. Click on Activate to activate your theme.
(Note: Don’t delete any file in file manager because its all are important.)
