    hi all, i just finish my girl friend website about makeup and wedding, it written with codeigniter and now we decide to begin a blog on it. and my choice goes to wordpress instead of drupal.

    but i need your suggestion about :
    1. Database, do we better join both our site database with wordpress database?
    2. in the future we will add forum on those site. is it enough only use wordpress plugin to build a forum?

    Why not use WP to manage the static front page?

    And yes, you can add a forum. Check out bbPress.

    no its not static. its actually a dynamic page follow with service that we offer.
    ok great about bbPress, so what about database structure? do we need to merge our current database table with WP or separate it into 2 databases?

    Two databases is probably fine. I don’t know what your other DB is (CodeIgniter has it’s own DB?).

    no, codeigniter only a framework. and i build website ontop of those framework. btw thanks ipstenu for your suggestion.
