• Hi guys,
I’m quite new to wordpress and need help. I already have a website running but would like to add pages which would be password protected. This I understand. I would like to be able to then give the password to my pupils so that they can login and edit the content only on that page and see nothing else other than to be able to add images, text or videos.

My website is alreadt themed so I can use the various theme options for there page a bit like https://www.mywebsite.com/pupilsname

Is there a way to do this simply or do i have to go down the road of sub domains and multiple installs? Thanks everyone for your help

Update. OK I was hoping someone would have an answer to this topic but waiting 20 hours is difficult. I used role scoper plugin to resolve this.
Add user and set as subscriber. then in settings tick the user under pages in the roles tab and then select the page you want them to have access to. Different levels of permissions can be set by the user type. i.e author, editor etc etc… If you don’t want them adding posts to the entire site then set it as subscribers when creating the user.
Use WP hide dashboard so they can’t roam around the wordpress site.
    Next problem
How to de activate the auto save option on their page too.
also need to find a way to remove the sidebar control option, portfolio categories option, custom settings option, page linking option and the sub navigation option. Also the option for them to trash and delete the page.
I will look for answer and update if i find any but would appreciate any help.
Remember this is for a page created for someone else to edit and not site wide. Thank you
