• This plugin generate thousands links just for hundred real links. Robot file is a good example to show this problem :
    Disallow: /agenda/action~posterboard/
    Disallow: /agenda/action~agenda/
    Disallow: /agenda/action~oneday/
    Disallow: /agenda/action~month/
    Disallow: /agenda/action~week/
    Disallow: /agenda/action~stream/
    Disallow: /agenda/action~undefined/
    Disallow: /agenda/action~http:/
    Disallow: /agenda/action~default/
    Disallow: /agenda/action~poster/

Category pages format are not friendly : /action~agenda/request_format~html/cat_ids~*/

Keyword pages format are not much better : /action~agenda/request_format~html/tag_ids~*/

Google bot crawling must be pain & It’s not really SEO friendly. Despite all blockings points above, it’s looks good as long as you do not have to change the style of your pages.

What about changes? They are decided according to customers’s votes. As most of customers do not care about SEO, this plugin will not be rewritten.

Would I pay for this plugin as it is? Definitively no !

  • Hi @alyen2,

    Thanks for the honest review.

You can set up your Timely WordPress Core calander to use SEO friendly URLs. Here’s an example (there’s many others):

    https://nwlf.ca/event/magic-the-gathering/

Our Support team is available to help with any issue you may have, via our Get Help ticket system (or click here: https://dashboard.time.ly/account/get-help). If you’d open a ticket, I’d like to help change your mind into making this a 5-star review. We can assist you with setting up your calendar URLs or theme.

You can also see our User Guide here:

    https://time.ly/user-guide/

Our goal is to ensure every customer feels they’ve received 5-star service and support from Time.ly.

Your example have the same issue :
    https://nwlf.ca/event/lego-time/?instance_id=131815
In other words, there is no solution.

To proove this, your user guide has never mentioned “SEO” in any title. So you don’t care about SEO & google crawling. I Prefer an author which is involved in development rather an author involved in answer to users & doing nothing else.

5 stars service cannot be a request, it should come without asking.

@alyen2 you are mistaken about a couple of things.

This link I provided was found in Google, through the Google search engine, proving otherwise. In your example, Googlebot indexes the URL as https://nwlf.ca/event/lego-time. The dynamic part is not required.

In addition to our WordPress core calendar, we offer our hosted free, Pro, Hublite and Hub calendars — all are part of our Saas hosted calendar plan — the release for the Saas version of this version is within the next 2 weeks. This calendar solves the issue of compatiblity with other plugins, gives us the ability to add a wider variety and more powerful features, loads faster, and also enables us to streamline SEO features (SEO friendly URLs, sharing SEO friendly URLs to social media sites, optimizing SEO related meta tags for images, keywords, etc).

Our development team has been working on, and has specifically planned to release full SEO functionality and the subsequent documentation in our User Guide once the Saas product is released, which will replace the core plugin version.
