Need to get Contact Form 7 to write to an external database

  • Hey there! I need some help.
    I’m using Contact Form 7 on my site, however on one of my contact forms I need the fields to be submitted to a table in a database. Also it needs to run a query to see if the e-mail address is a duplicate.
    I’m pretty inexperienced when it comes to database work. I’m sorry.

  • Have a go at writing the code for this. If you get stuck post back here. Its difficult to give an answer to such a general question. Do you have experience with PHP and mySQL?

    That’s the thing, I don’t even know where to begin. I know some PHP, but mySQL might as well be black magic to me.

    You can do two things:
    1) hire someone to do this for you https://jobs.wordpress.net the time required to code this will likely be less than a day.

    2) Learn about sql and databases and write this yourself https://www.w3schools.com/sql/ there are many forums including this one to help you with the specifics.
