Need to remove unused sections from static front page

  • Hello,

    I have deleted the pre-loaded “Blog” and “Contact” page, and have removed them from the Menu, and removed all their contents. They still maintain space on my homepage, with the title “Blog.” When I try to edit the section I get a message saying I have to restore it from the trash to edit. Customizer shows no content in the page.

    I’m sure empty sections are not supposed to show. Have also emptied Chrome’s cache, and tried a different browser–same result.

  • Hi Patricia!

    Double check that the Featured Page Section options aren’t still selected.

    Open the Customizer and open Theme Settings (make sure you’re viewing the Static Front Page, or that option won’t be in the list).

    Then set the sections you want removed to the -Select- option. That should remove them from the page.

    If that did the trick, there’s a ‘Resolve’ option over in the sidebar ??
