I need to be able to see the number of views on each post when I look at the “All Posts” page instead of just seeing the little bar graph. I swear there used to be an option for this. I’m trying to eliminate/revamp posts with really low views, so being able to sort all posts by the number of views would be extremely helpful. I tried using the advanced stats at wordpress.com, but I can only get 495 entries when looking at “all time” and my site has over 1600 posts.
I have tried looking for plugins, but the few available no longer work. I also asked via the Help feature on wordpress.com but never got a response. If there is any way at all to get the view counts for all the posts on my site, I’d be extremely grateful.

  • There isn’t a default feature for this in Jetpack however one of our colleagues has started a side project to do this:

    https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/post-views-for-jetpack/

Please note that even though that plugin was created by someone from the Jetpack team it’s not officially supported by Jetpack and we won’t be able to provide support for that particular plugin.

If your stats aren’t showing for all your posts then there’s likely a sync error. I am going to run a full-sync between for your site and Jetpack, can you please let me know the URL to your site so I can do that?

That plugin you mentioned isn’t what I want. I don’t want or need to see the view on the front end of a page. I need to be able to see all the post counts, sorted from highest to lowest. There’s a “stats” column in admin that has a little bar graph symbol next to each post name – if that had the post count and the column could be sorted, that would be what I need. However, I’d settle for the CSV actually showing all the pages on my site.

Thanks for sending the site address. I’ve gone ahead and started a full-sync. Ah thanks for clarifying that. I’m afraid there’s still not built in functionality for this, you’ll have to use the WordPress.com API to pull that data:

That’s not very user friendly. Could you possibly give me a query string that will get me what I need?

    Hi Briana,

Unfortunately the REST API is designed for developers, you’ll need to know about REST API and how to make calls in order to properly utilize it – which spans outside of the scope of support we can provide.

However, I will reach out to someone from our stats team, as the stats export from the WordPress.com page should contain all your views and not the 400 or as stated. Will keep you updated on their investigations
