Need to translate the categories

Sorry that you ran into issues here!

Translation for BD involves a few steps–but not all strings that require translation are in the PO file.

I presume you’ve done what we suggest here: https://businessdirectoryplugin.com/quick-start-guide/#translate

Once you do that, there are still strings in the settings, field names (labels), emails, and of course, the category names that require translation.

For the categories, you have to translate them directly under Directory->Directory Categories.

If you want multi-language support (being able to switch between languages on the website) we recommend using WPML, which we support too. Details on that are here:

ok if I did that, will it interfere with what I have right now? I have easy language plugin installed.

BD hasn’t tested with Easy Language so I don’t know what will happen if you use WPML with it. That’s something you’ll have to test on a staging or development server to see what happens.
