The payments system we’re using (not Stripe) is being sunsetted. In trying to get the store back and working as quickly as possible, we need the WooCommerce Stripe plugin prior to version 3.0

I have checked the github and svn repos and find that versions only back to 3 are available.

Is there a location we can download previous versions (mentioned in the Changelog) between v1.7 and v3? We understand the system is older and would be unsupported, but we need to try and getting it working as quickly as possible.

Hi @mcheck,

To explain, Stripe prior to 3.0 was a paid for plugin from WooCommerce.com and thus we had it in a private repo and not on www.ads-software.com.

Is there any reason you can’t use the current version of Stripe? It doesn’t have too high of requirements for WordPress (4.4) and WooCommerce (2.6), so even the older versions can run the latest of Stripe.

You’re right, the current Stripe version does have relaxed requirements regarding older versions. But I need the most recent Stripe version that will still run on WooCommerce v2.2.3
I should have explained further. My client is running an older version of WP (3.8) and WooCommerce (2.2.3) that was tied to that version because of the integration we built to work with Intuit Merchant Service (SkyVerge plugin) and QuickBooks POS in their shop.

Now Intuit has sunset the QBMS in favor of Intuit Payments with an end date of Nov 17. I certainly should have been alerted that they were discontinuing APIv1 but because of the way their developer account is setup, I wasn’t alerted until the client was. ??

SO we’re looking for the fastest way to eliminate the Intuit QBMS and replace it with Stripe within their current platform versions. I see that stripe-gateway 2.6.12 still needs WooCommerce 2.3.
So, may I ask if there is a stripe-gateway version pre2.6.12 that is compatible with WooCommerce 2.2.3?

Hi @mcheck,

The version I’d sent appears to be compatible with WooCommerce from versions 2.1 and above.

But jumping to the next release, which was Stripe 3.0, sets the minimum WooCommerce version to 2.5+

Had you tried using 2.6.12 and not having any luck? It appears to me to be that it is the latest release that supports WooCommerce 2.2.3, since the next release bumps to WooCommerce 2.5.

I looked at the code before trying to run it and found the version requirements in the addons class. I jumped the gun thinking that the entire plugin needed WC2.3!

I ran the plugin on our staging server and it appears to work in testing mode!
