Need visitors

How to make a site popular is by filling it with good content…

Ok good content but no matter ist good or not i got to find that site. Isn it?

Word of mouth (is it called that?) beats any ads IMO.
Maybe I’m special but over the years I have developed a habit of not looking at ads, any ads, webrings, topsite and so on. My brain filters them out ??
Many sites have so many ads and flash crap that take focus away from the content, if the content is good I use filters to remove any ads and keep coming back to read the good stuff.
This is just my opinion though, for all I know you can get 10.000 unique visitors overnight using topsites and such.

Well, first of all, If you just started your blog, don’t expect to get high results. Add your site to search engines, create RSS feeds If you havent, trackback on other sites, using technorati plugins, advertise on top100bloggers, exchange links by emailing site owners, etc..

Get an interesting entry of yours linked from a big site..

I got this linked from fleshbot.com yesterday and my hits went from around 100 per day (just started the site August 1st) to almost 1000 yesterday, and over 2000 today.

I understand they wont stay that high once their link moves off into the archives, but at least a lot of people are aware of the page now.

Try to get links exchanged with other websites you frequent..

Its not blog.

You know, if there was a easy way to get lots of visitors, everyone would do it.
It doesn’t matter if your site is a blog or not really, the content needs to be good.

Ok i wanna about 5000 visitors a day. What i should to do whithout content?

Why would 5000 people visit a web place without content?

Maybe I am wrong, but I don’t see any WP related question in this thread… Why don’t look for sites that deal with your problem?

Why do you want so many visitors? To sustain that many visitors, you’re going to need quality content. I sure hope you have it.

Put up some pics of your eighteen year old sister getting out of the shower and I guarantee you’ll get 10,000 daily unique visitors.

More content = More one-time visitors.

More high-quality content = More one-time visitors and more returning visitors.

Ok if I will only have good content, but i will do nothing more, there will be no visitors. How they will find my super – duper site? Google? Dont think so…
