• We have discontinued service with the person who we have managing the hosting of our site. Our site is currently down due to a Parse error. He will not give us our hosting logins to fix our site. My question is, can someone from WordPress unlock our admin dashboard screen so we can fix the error. We have the login to the admin dashboard screen, it just won’t let us in there with the error. Please help.

  • www.ads-software.com does not providing hosting for sites. It provides the software for other people to use their own sites on their own hosts.

Asking us for the login and password to a site is like asking Microsoft to give you the password to your laptop.

I’m not asking for the login for the hosting site. If you read my post again, I am only asking for WordPress to unlock my dashboard so I can fix my file. I’m not asking for ANY logins.

We cannot unlock anything. We do not have anything to do with your site.

    Terri,

The only way to look into fixing or getting the dashboard back up is to log into the hosting and either disable whats giving the error or fix the actual error itself.

www.ads-software.com doesn’t ‘run’ or ‘host’ your site and site files, they simply made the software that allows you to run the website. This is why they cannot unlock your site at all.

I see this with web developers unfortunately from time to time. Do you have access to any backups of your site to try and restore your website with another hosting company?

If you do I would try and purchase hosting and restore your site from a backup. Otherwise it sounds like your a little stuck until you can get the information from your developer.

    Best of luck!
