• I’m not really sure how to phrase this question; however I’m sucessfully running ms. I have a client that I’ve built multiple similar microsites for: see examples:
    https://www.columbiascpoolcompany.com
    https://www.lexingtonscpoolcompany.com
    https://www.chapinscpoolcompany.com
    and so on.

What I’ve tried to do is position this client to improve his seo rankings by building content around the various geographic permeations of “pool company” in his service areas.

What I would like to do next is be able to write a blog or newsletter one time and then be able to push it out to all of the microsites with the option of customizing the content for the local geography. For example the content may be around removing algae from your pool, except each blog or domain would need the ability to customize it with their city name and other localized information.

I hope this makes sense and would be very appreciative of someone sending me some examples or ideas of how I can do this. I’ve searched for months now and can’t seem to figure it out, but then again I’m not all that technically proficient either.

Many thanks in advance for some assistance.

You can post to multiple blogs at once with plugins, but you can’t ‘customize’ them automatically. You’d have to post and then edit.

    Thanks for your reply Ipstenu.

Again I’m not the most advanced when it comes to these issues; however it seems a good database person could figure out how to allow variable data and insert localized info from some blog publising platform.

I’m over my head but thought I would ask and thanks for the reply.

Sure, but at a guess, no one has because it’s gaming the SEO system.

You’re posting the same data in multiple places, diluting your own search results. Even with a couple words changed, you’re still posting the same thing, which is, generally, a poor idea.

If you twisted my arm, I’d make shortcodes, and customize them per site.

“Welcome to [company]!” and such. Then on each site, it would parse that differently.

Mind you I’d also try really hard not to duplicate content. ??

Yeah, you are probably right. My intent was not to game the system; however come up with an easier way to post complimentary data or content and sort of streamline the process, but after reviewing your comment and thinking through this it is walking a fine line and could be crossing over into an area that I really don’t want to go.

I appreciate your advice and will utilize it as I move forward with this project.

    Thanks Again!
