• it should definitely let you translate on the front end as translate press does. it is quite difficult to configure everything correctly

    The front end translation approach has pros and cons.
    When there’s a lot of content to translate, it’s generally faster using a genuine translation editor such as the Advanced Translation Editor in WPML.

    However, did you check the WPML Translate Everything mode?
    Basically, all your post contents are automatically translated as soon as you publish it, and you have a “translation review” tool to check the display and correct some strings if needed.

    Concerning the difficult configuration, did you talk with our support (forum or chat)?
