NEFI won't display in lightbox

Nothing seems to be working correctly and not sure if it’s this plugin or WooCommerce. Before I added NEI, all worked good as far as I had gotten.

Now the Clear Selection doesn’t work, but does if I click on the image. In other words if you make a selection and click on reset all selections, they won’t reset. But if you click on the image, they do. See Test Page below. Could be a combination of NEI and issues with WC?

UPDATE: I figured out a couple of issues causing this. I now get the darken background, but the image will not load. Just get spinning dots. Not sure why that is though

Hi Charly. I’m afraid I cannot help you with this issue. This is what’s happening:

WordPress has a couple of standard mechanisms for retrieving a featured image. On the one hand, there’s the (get_)the_post_thumbnail function, which directly outputs an img tag with the featured image of the post. On the other hand, you may access the attachments of a post (and, in particular, it’s featured image) and get the ID, the link to that image, and its size. We can only hook to (and thus modify) the first function. If your theme (or plugin) uses the second option, there’s nothing we can do.

As far as I know, the issue you’re describing is related to a JavaScript library. I don’t know how this library obtains the featured image (is it stored in a JS object? does it extract it from the src attribute of the image?). Keep in mind that an external featured image is not included in the src attribute of the resulting image, but in the background-image property of an inline CSS style.

Sorry I can’t help you. Try contacting your theme developer and ask him for help instead.

Yes it’s the latter requiring attachment ID, src link and size.

Is there any way to add a hyperlink to the external image to open in a new page? Or would I need to do that somehow within WC? I mean the image shows the hand when cursor is on it and it’s clickable; tho nothing happens. ?? Thanks!
