Negative savings?

    I have used this plugin for a while but on my latest site I saw something strange!

    It deleted 59 revisions yet somehow my database became bigger

    size of the database
    BEFORE optimization 2.328 MB
    AFTER optimization 2.547 MB
    SAVINGS THIS TIME -224 KB
    TOTAL SAVINGS SINCE THE FIRST RUN -224 KB

    Log:
    01:17:00 59 59 59 59 3 17 2.328 MB 2.547 MB -224 KB

    Any suggestions as to why this happened?

    Hey Magistar,

    That’s a known artifact… Happens rarely.

    Not exactly sure what causes it.

    The database is a dynamic system, so, while running the plugin other transactions will take place at the same time (maybe adding records or so).

    Anyways, nothing to worry about, the plugin is definitely not increasing the size of your database ??

    Hmm its a brand new site only visited by me ^^. Only makes sense if it read the database size wrong since it did delete a lot of revisions. Or the drop/recreate table actually made it bigger.

    Anyway on my other website total savings are 49 MB so I am sure it will come out of the negative soon :).
