• My theme is handling q:before/after and q q:before/after tags normally.

Within virtually every element, I can use tags such as <q>This is a test <q>quotation.</q></q> and have it display “This is a test ‘quotation.'”

    So far so good.

The problem is, whenever I post nested q tags within a post that’s truncated with a Read More tag, it displays the same source code as <q>This is a test </q><q>quotation.</q> on user agents.

If I view the nested tags on a single, they’re fine. If I remove the Read More tag altogether, they’re fine everywhere. But if I view the nested tags on the home page or a category/tag/archive page where the Read More is active, they’re incorrect.

I should also add that the visual editor always recognizes them properly, but they publish incorrectly in the situations I noted above.

What am I missing here? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
