Nested Taxonomies

  • Hi There,

    When using this plugin to create custom taxonomies, is it possible to create nested taxonomies. For example, if I had a taxonomy called ‘Area’ could I then create two more categories nested within the main parent taxonomy of ‘Area’, comprising of ‘Region’ and then ‘Town’, thus the hierarchy would look like:

    /Area/Region/Town

    is it possible to create nested taxonomies.

    The plugin creates non-nested taxonomies (same as tags).

    Is there any possibility to add nested? State / County / City
    This is a major requirement for most Real Estate listing sites.
    What would it take to get this feature?

    This is a major requirement for most Real Estate listing sites.

    The plugin allows you to create those taxonomies. Nesting the taxonomies in and of itself will not give you any additional features on the front end.

    You would need to create custom templates, etc. to make use of the nested part. If you are doing that then you should register the taxonomies in your theme.
