Network Ads not showing

Hello,

I cannot for the life of me get my website to show the ads from the ad network I have signed on with. I have tried placing the codes within the widgets, as well as pasting the codes in the header.php under the “head” section and “body” section as the techie who sent them to me instructed. The only thing that seemed to happen is that where I attempted to put a leaderboard/banner ad unit, there is now a big blank space at the top of my site where it should be.

These are javascript text codes, and the other javascript text code I use (for a newsletter sign up form) works within the sidebar widget while these do not.

Is the problem that Atahualpa theme does not support ads? I am really liking this theme and would like to stick with it, so any help would be appreciated!
