• While doing the network > Plugins > update, I was shown “While your site is being updated, it will be in maintenance mode. As soon as your updates are complete, your site will return to normal.” I was shown this message for sometime much longer than usual so I interrupted the update by refreshing the page but it kept me showing it. So I closed the page and then the whole browser. Then I opened the browser freshly and tried to open my site. Now the message is
    ===========
    The page isn’t redirecting properly

    Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete.

    This problem can sometimes be caused by disabling or refusing to accept cookies.

    I cleared the whole cookies, even the temp files. Its not working

    Other networks in my Domain are working fine except the Main Network where I performed the update.

    Please help.
    Thanks in advance

    I even tried disabling all the plugins. Still the main network is not working.

    OOOHHHHH!!!
    The error is with the latest Buddypress or BP related plugins. I dont know which one yet. When I deleted the Buddypress and other BP related plugins, all are working fine again. But I suspect the latest version of BP as the error is produced after updating BP.

    Does anyone experience the same issue? or have any clue?

    hi, frenx4u,
    this is exactly what happened to me today!! it happened soon after I installed the actual Buddypress plugin, then a couple related ones. there was a link that asked me to install the Buddypress which I clicked while the others were also installing. it threw those same error messages shortly after.

    how did you uninstall your plugins? I am now unable to access my admin or dashboard at all. did you go through your web host? didn’t want to go handpicking through files if there was an easier way. any help is appreciated, am at a loss here…

    Delete the file .maintenance in your main website folder (same level as your wp-config.php)
