network site giving 404 error

  • Hi,all

    Im new to multisite. i just set up everything

    but i cannot login to network sites admin. its giving 404..

    ie i hve “primarydomain.com” and “secondarydomain.com”

    i setup everything .. im using 1and1 with plesk

    and i create site “test.primarydomain.com” , but the problem is i cannot login to its admin ie “test.primarydomain.com/wp-admin” giving a 404 error page..

    wats wrong with me.. Please help….

  • Did you set up the wildcard subdomains as outlined in the instructions?

    And did you ask your host about it?

    yes Andrea i setup everything . mine is a 1and1 dedicated server with plesk 9.0.1, their support is not as much good..

    i think some misconfiguration happens.. while we take “test.primarydomain.com” it gives a default message “This domain has just been registered for one of our customers!”

    But when we take “secondarydomain.com” its pointing to main site and shows a message “The site you were looking for, https://test.primarydomain.com/, does not exist.”

    I haven’t used 1and1, but from the many threads I see here mentioning them specifically, I am not likely to try. ??
