Neve Child Theme Missing Footers
-
Hey @iosifthemeisle – thank you for the instruction on how to create a child theme for Neve. Instructions
I have downloaded the zip and added the child theme using wordpress upload theme function. However when I activate the child theme – the footer area of my site is not replicated. The footer has widgets (4 columns with company, address, etc.). Child theme instead displays the default footer which is Powered by Neve WordPress….
In addition the image sizes on product pages changes when I switch to the child theme. The master has larger product icon images as compared to the child. For some reason, it seems the child theme does not fully replicate the master?
I need a child theme as I need to add_filter to allow for woocommerce webhook delivery to another container with a local ip address (it is rejected as invalid URL due to http_request_host_is_external). I had previously tested it out by editing the Neve theme functions.php – but my changes were wiped out as expected with the recent update.
Will appreciate your guidance on how to replicate the footer section in the neve-child theme – actually would like to fully replicate the whole appearance of the master. I have already tried to copy the “views” folder from master to child theme folder. No difference.
Thanks for your review / guidance.
