Neve Update from 3.1.6 to 3.4.2. breaks site aesthetics

I tried updating the Neve theme through the WordPress update function, and the result was a completely different font and font size on every element of the site, as well as visually broken elements such as the search bar.

I think it’s safe to say this is not intended, but I’m not sure if it’s due to a bug in the updating process, or in the update itself.

I’d appreciate some clarification so I can update my site to the newest version of the theme, but I’m also happy to wait for the next update.
