• Each site I’ve tried this, the form just refreshes the page with no notifications or error messages – and no opt in confirmations come through.

It’s because each site your developing has either poorly coded themes or plugins that are causing javascript errors. Our form sends data via jQuery, so when you have even a single error on your site the form won’t work.

Had you reached out to report an issue we would have surely helped you diagnose the problem.

Sorry you had issue with the plugin. Maybe you can clean up some of your sites code and give the plugin another try.

Thanks for the reply. I’ve tried it on twentytwelve as the only plugin – still doesn’t work though.

I’ve just downloaded and tested on a fresh install using TwentyTwelve, TwentyThirteen and TwentyFourteen all without issue. So I’m not entirely sure what the issue is on your end.

At any rate, reporting the issue and seeking out support before dropping a one star would have been nice seeing as we donate a lot of time and energy in providing top tier support for this free plugin.

The idea of putting it on here was to raise awareness and point out issues as you’ve requested. You’ve blamed my whole website and all my plugins for your plugin not working though? It isn’t a practical answer – or by definition ‘Easy’.

The other two mailchimp specific plugins I have tried worked first time – as does Contact 7 and Gravity forms, with no issue whatsoever.

Putting it in the reviews section is not “raising awareness” but instead bringing down our overall rating score without making any effort on your part to remedy the issue.

As you can see from both the WordPress support forum and the Github issue tracker, we are very responsive to support requests, and generally get isues resolved same day. We always work with theme authors, users and other developers to resolve any issues that may arise. Most of the time its a theme, plugin or user error causing issue within the plugin.

Again, we’re sorry to see you go and sorry you had issues with the plugin and we wish you all the best with your site.

    Evan
